A new era has begun for the Czech firm, as it has passed through the factory door the first purely electric model in its history.

The construction of the Citigo iV began at the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava, Slovakia and now all that remains to be announced is the time of launch of the car on the market.

The drive is powered by an 82 hp and 210 Nm torque motor, powered by a 36.8 kWh battery. Autonomy reaches 265 kilometers, with 0-100 being achieved in 12.5 seconds and the top speed electronically limited to 130 km / h.

The battery accepts all types of charging cables. It pumps 80% energy within 1 hour via a 40 kW DC charger, charges in about 4 hours from a 7.2 kW wall-box, and in 12 hours from a simple 2.3 kW home network.
