Skoda Scala Spyder . At the Mlada Boleslav facility, the Czech firm maintains a professional school with a long history. There are young men and women who dream of a career in the automotive industry, either as designers, or as engineers, or in any other specialty they are interested in.

The special feature of this academy is that in parallel with the theoretical background of studies, it brings tomorrow’s professionals in direct contact with all stages of design, development and construction of a modern car. In the final year of their studies, students are asked to take a Skoda model from the production line and present it in another form, giving it a new identity.

For this year’s project, the school’s graduates chose to design and build an open version of Scala. The students’ efforts began in late 2019, but were halted due to the pandemic. After the mandatory break, they returned to the company’s facilities to complete their work.

The skoda Scala Spider is expected to be ready in the summer. 31 students are employed in its design and construction. The whole process is done by hand with the help of the professors of the academy.
