The refurbished Honda Civic Type R

Honda Civic Type R. The ultimate driving machine, this amazing hot hatchback, has been refurbished to the benefit of aerodynamics, passenger comfort and road handling.

Honda has released the first photos of the refurbished Type R and announced some of its features. The car comes with a redesigned bumper and slightly larger central air intake for better engine cooling.

The diffuser now has red details, the lights are LED technology, and the new is the ‘Boost Blue’ body color. On the inside, the changes are traced to the Alcantara-lined steering wheel, gear lever and seat and door trim.

The brake system has been upgraded, including larger calipers and pads more resistant to high temperatures. The suspension was reset and the exhaust sound became more bass, while the Honda Sensing was added to the equipment package, which includes a variety of driver assistance systems.

Underneath the bonnet is the 320-horsepower turbocharged engine. The motor is combined with a manual gearbox and limited slip differential.
